XDP HD Engine Oil Cooler XD212

I purchase this oil cooler because my engine oil temps were not within the delta they were supposed to be with my engine coolant temps. Once I replaced the cooler. They were almost the same at operating temp. After time they are starting to go back up and get worse.

Decent product. Certainly would be better if it came with new orings though.

I installed this oil cooler on my 2006 F250 6.0. Before I installed it, I performed several chemical flushes of my cooling system followed by backflushes through the oil cooler, heater core, degas bottle, and radiator. I also opened the engine drain plugs and finishes flushing with 35 gallons of distilled water. My EOT and ECT deltas are better than before but still are not with in the ford 15 degree spec. I have an external coolant filter that Ive changed twice now and both times it has been clean. I wish I would have just went with an external oil kit to save myself some time on any future work. Overall through the packaging was great and as always the customer service is great.

Just finished with a whole 6.0 build. That said, the entire cooling system was flushed and cleaned before install. Truck now has a delta of 10*-12* with cruise set at 70mph on flat ground highway, unloaded. While I know those are decent numbers, I was expecting it to run tighter, closer to 5*-10* as my other bone stock factory 6.0 does, since this is a "heavy duty" version. Overall, its better numbers than I was getting before replacing the oil cooler (it was on its way out). If I had to do it again, I'd probably spend more money for an upgraded OEM or for the BPD cooler. Also, make sure you order the o-ring/gasket kit as it doesn't come with them.
