Replace the faulty alternator in your 2003-2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke with the XDP High Output Alternator (New) XD362. The XD362 produces higher output over the factory unit. This keeps your battery fully charged and your truck ready for all types of electric aftermarket upgrades such as off-road lights, horn kits, and more. A faulty alternator will cause your truck to experience dead batteries, dim lighting, check engine lights, and it can also leave you stranded. The XDP Direct Replacement Alternator comes pre-tested and ready for installation.

Installation Note:
In some applications the factory alternator wiring harness eyelet may need to be slightly enlarged to fit the larger stud.
This alternator is a direct-fit replacement for trucks with a single alternator and also a direct-fit replacement primary for vehicles equipped with dual alternators.

The included adapter is only required on some applications. If your factory harness matches the connector on the XDP alternator, the additional adapter harness will not be used.

Keeps the battery voltage at 14 bolts and is great , awesome look and addition to my truck, only thing is the ground that goes in the back of the alternator on the side of the plug on a 03 6.0 I have to drill that ground to make the hole bigger so it can fit on the stud.

Super easy install! dropped right in with no modifications. My flickering lights and hard shifts are a thing of the past! Voltage stays rock steady 13.8 always. cold start, ac on in the rain at night. handles everything I need with headroom.

We purchased a new XDP alternator for our 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty after it was determined that the voltage output on the existing alternator was not high enough. After two Duralast Gold alternators in two years, we finally had the new XDP alternator (Order Number: 1784410) installed last week. This is the first time in two years that the truck had the correct voltage output to power the engine. It was a little pricey but worth the extra $$$. We are hoping this will be the last alternator we have to install in the truck. We will definitely look at other XDP products in the future. So far, so good and looks great!

will this part work with the dual alrenator set up. My truck has two and I want to replace them both with high output ones
Our XDP Direct Replacement High Output 230 Amp Alternator XD362 will work with dual alternator set ups but only can be used to replace the primary.
Will this work on a 7.3 powerstroke? I know some alternators are interchangeable between the two
The XDP XD362 High Output Alternator is only sold for the 6.0L models and has not been tested on the 7.3L trucks.
Do I need to replace my battery cables? Or can I run my factory cables?
The XDP High Output Alternator (New) XD362 does not require you to upgrade the battery cables but you'll want to look them over for dry rot, cracks, and corrosion.
Will this alternator work with a 2500 watt amplifier for subs?
Yes, the XDP High Output Alternator (New) XD362 will work great for high watt amplifiers.
