Description
The XDP X200 Series Harmonic Balancer Bolt XD628 is an excellent way to securely fasten the harmonic balancer on your Duramax. As the crankshaft flexes the harmonic balancer (also known as a damper) absorbs an incredible amount of energy to smooth out your engine. This bolt will ensure that your balancer is locked into position and features an extra tall 12-point head that accepts a deep socket. This eliminates any worry of stripping the head when torquing to specification.

XD628 Harmonic Balancer Bolt Torque Spec:

Installed the XD682 Harmonic Balancer bolt with the recommended ARP grease after replacing the water pump on my 2002 LB7. I like having a specific torque value rather than a torque setting plus so many degrees. I do recommend having the correct tools for the job. I'm 65 years old and a 4ft 3/4" breaker bar made it easy to remove the stock bolt by myself. A 4ft 3/4" torque wrench made torquing the XDP bolt a piece of cake.

My favorite part is this has a specific torque spec with no degrees. I do not like using degrees like the factory bolt requires.
