The XDP HD Replacement Battery Cable Set XD441 is an excellent way to update the charging and starting system in your 2003-2007 Dodge 5.9L Diesel. Old and weathered battery cables can cause many problems for your truck if they are not performing as they should. Degraded battery cables can result in no-start conditions and other charging system issues. These problems can cause added strain on your vehicle's electrical system and in some cases, it can leave you stranded!
Each Battery Cable Set is built from a 2/0 (or 00 AWG) wire construction for a greater conductivity and is specially designed as a replacement for your application. Each cable features a heavy-duty crimped-on tin plated copper terminals for a rugged and secure connection. Each connection is then sealed with an adhesive lined shrink wrap to protect the cable from acidic battery fumes and oxidization. Each set comes ready to install with military style terminals, terminal covers, and wire loom for added protection.

Application Notes:
This kit has a straight lug fits the following starters: OEM, XDP HD, Mean Green.
The existing OEM 14 gauge fusible link must be spliced into to the positive cable (components included).
2007 model year owners must confirm fitment as some vehicles require a 90-degree lug at the starter connection.
This kit will only fit on models that require the straight lug at the starter connection.

Great Product...but

Overall, a well-made product, a direct fit, and I would recommend it to others. It's worth the money because making your own kit is roughly the same price when you calculate materials and time. However, my biggest issue is there are no instructions. Many will say it's simple, but if you've had any issues where you were missing original wires, makes it very difficult to figure out what goes where. Most of it was straightforward. Again, great product, but it would be nice to have some instructions.

Battery cables set is a great upgrade from the factory cables which have many problems with connectivity wish that the kit also included the alternator cable but you can always buy one of those or reuse your factory alternator cable. Cables are a little sturdy and hard to route but it’s because they are such large and heavy duty
