Fuel Filters
Racor offers a wide variety of fuel filters and Water In Fuel (WIF) Sensors that will help maintain and monitor the fuel system in your vehicle. Fuel contamination, in the form of dirt and water, can find its way into your fuel tank and cause a lot of damage to the fuel system. With modern engines injecting fuel at pressures over 30,000 psi, and injector tolerances measured in microns, so even a small amount of contamination can cause problems for your engine. Water and particulates can cause microscopic injector surface damage and even clog the nozzle. This causes wear that leads to reduced efficiency and in extreme cases, the possibility of complete engine breakdown. WIF Sensor
The WIF Sensor is designed to alert you when water is in your fuel system to help prevent damage to the fuel system. Due to this sensor being removed and reinstalled on every filter change, it's frequently damaged due to using incorrect tools. This sensor’s plastic construction does not handle abuse and a cracked or damaged sensor can cause air leaks and hard starting conditions. Racor is the OEM WIF sensor supplier to many of the top-selling automotive brands due to the quality of their sensors. These sensors include new O-rings for a tight seal to the housing. Racor also offers Filter Head Assemblies that are direct-fit replacements that include the filter and wiring you need for installation.
