Description
Restore the steering in your Dodge Ram 2500/3500 with the XDP Stock+ Power Steering Gearbox (New) XD752. The most common cause of a failing steering gearbox (also known as a
steering gear or steering box) is long-term wear and tear. Over time,
internal components such as the worm gear, sector gear, and bearings can
wear down or get damaged. Other contributing factors may include rough
road conditions, potholes, and fluid leaks.

Symptoms

grinding or clunking noises coming from the steering system. As the
condition worsens, you may also notice that more effort is required to
steer, especially at lower speeds or when maneuvering.

Love the new steering gearbox

The new SGB arrives, and it’s the 6-bolt improved version. Already clocked and loaded with fluid, it was ready to go in. The box is extremely heavy so I had to use a little ingenuity to get it in place and start the mounting bolts, but I got it done. Anyway, steering is nice and tight now. Great work, XDP.

Time Will Tell but No Complaints

Replaced my OEM Mopar box this weekend with the new XDP. Heard some complaints with the Borgeson, Red Head isn't what it used to be, and there was no way I paying $1k for a PSC, so I took a chance on the XDP. Nice looking unit, bolted up without issue, and functions as it should. Praying it'll last another 10 years like the stock box!

I’ve installed 3 of these boxes and had good luck with them so far. They steer good, have a return to center feel, and very little slop from left to right. Got one on my personal truck and have put about 10k miles on it, and it still feels tight. You have to center the steering shaft as that’s very important.
