The XDP Xtra Cool Direct-Fit Replacement Radiator XD296 is the perfect replacement for the old leaking radiator in your 2003-2009 Dodge 5.9L/6.7L Diesel. While the Xtra Cool Radiator may look like a factory replacement, it's far from it! The XDP's Xtra Cool Radiators are built with techniques used in the semi-truck and HD industry. Unlike the OEM radiator, the extra steps taken during manufacturing provide you with the durability and strength to protect your engine.
High Efficiency Core
Xtra Cool Radiators feature a high efficiency core, with heavy-duty tubes and more fins per inch to maximize cooling capabilities.
Internally Reinforced
Special aluminum brazing techniques are used during construction to increase strength. The reinforced ends tubes and added strength at the outside corners protect the core where it is most vulnerable.
Gasket Design
XDP uses a proprietary rubber gasket to withstand contraction, expansion, and flex in the front end of your truck.
Upgraded End Tanks
Strategically placed reinforcement ribs are added to the end tanks to eliminate common failure points. The plastic mix used to construct these tanks has a fiber reinforcement to increased strength over the factory tanks.
Upgraded Mounting Points
To eliminate failure from mounting locations, the integrated mounting points have been upgraded for added strength and longevity.
Tank Attachment
Using a heavy gauge steel crimp strip instead of aluminum like the factory is another construction method used to make the Xtra Cool Radiators last. This heavy-duty crimp helps to eliminate the tank and core separation common with the factory radiator.

Ordered a radiator for my 3/4 ton, I did for good reviews and dependable comp. Every thing was great, easy to order. Ordered economy shipping cause I wasn’t in a hurry, got email saying shipped but hasn’t picked up yet. This was on 9-18-25. It is now 9-29-25 and I have contacted XDP because the tracking still says waiting to pick up. Now they are doing an investigation to where my part is. Was hoping that I had received it sometime late last week as I was going out of town but it never showed up. So now I had to leave for work and not sure when I’ll be able to get it. Might have to get a refund and go a different route of send another to where I’m working. And try and change it on a day im off.

Fits like oem, seems to run cooler under extreme loads. I have a toy hauler loaded with a Rzr in NV heat, runs at normal temps with avg driving but seems cooler when pulling loaded in the heat. Very happy with this purchase.
