This is a replacement Drag Link assembly that is designed for extreme duty to replace your underperforming OE steering. The oversized drag link ends, which are connected by a massive DOM tube, effectively eliminates death wobble and tightens up steering, even under the harshest conditions. In addition, the weak adjusting sleeve is replaced by tie rod ends that thread directly into the connecting rods, which are secured by jam nuts and our proprietary ninja lock-washers. The housing is made from SAE 1045 solid steel forging, which is the optimal carbon alloy steel for this application. APEX CNC machining process ensures perfect dimensions for all parts and bearings, eliminating die wear issues. The ball studs are made from SAE 4140 hot forged chromoly for the strongest possible metallurgy. Induction heat treatment is used to provide precise heat treatment to the exact depth and location required. Rolled threads are used to strengthen the threads, making movement of hardware easy. Step threads allow for easy hardware movement during installation and superior holding when torqued. The metal-to-metal bearing design is rugged and durable. CR rubber boots are used as they are the most durable material for undercar applications.

The accordion boot is ideal for high-articulation components, providing greater flexibility for longer life. Apex's e-coat finish is extremely durable and double-coated, including threads. Apex uses grade 8 - class 10.9 hardware for superior tensile strength. Tension nuts provide a very strong hold for most applications. Adjusting rods from APEX are finished with a durable e-coat treatment and made from heavy-walled steel tubing for the tightest, most robust steering on the market. Their ball joints feature pre-threaded zerk housing for easy installation and greaseable components for improved performance. Gull-winged grease grooves allow for improved lubrication disbursement around the ball stud. Our exclusive ninja washer eliminates the need for lightly built adjusting tubes with ugly pinch clamps. A minimum engagement mark on threads indicates when it is beyond the safe engagement of threads into the adjusting sleeve, ensuring safe operation.
