Banks Power 26006 Boost Tube Upgrade Kit

The Banks Power 26006 Boost Tube Upgrade Kit will enhance engine airflow in your 2019-2024 Ram 2500/3500 6.7L Diesel. These 3.5" diameter mandrel-bent tubes are manufactured from aluminized steel for maximum strength and durability. The factory intercooler pipes are 2.70 inches in diameter on the hot side with crushed bent corners and 3.15 inches on the cold side with plastic components. By contrast, Banks Boost Tubes are made of high-quality aluminized steel for maximum strength and durability. Thanks to the high-strength 5-ply silicone hoses, the factory intake parts for the 6.7L diesel are compatible with the Boost Tubes. These tubes will improve airflow to your engine and decrease boost pressure loss, which will quicken the turbo spool and boost power.

These Boost Tubes help free horsepower at the wheels by improving turbocharger and engine efficiency. Removing the factory restrictive pipes improves mass air flow by minimizing the pressure loss usually found with the OE components. This denser air allows the engine to hit the same boost pressure target with less added heat, maintain horsepower with less fuel, and in turn reject less heat into the engine oil and coolant system. The diameter of the stock hot side charge air cooler inlet duct is only 2.75” in diameter, and this issue gets worse with each restrictive bend. For comparison, the Banks Hot-Side Boost-Tube provides over 68% larger flow area than the factory tube.

The charge air cooler pipe's direction was altered by Banks engineers using an offset coupler to make room for this enormous hot-side Boost-Tube. By doing this, the hot-side pipe is brought closer to the truck's passenger side. This method lessens pressure loss in the intercooler and makes room for better airflow.

Unlike the stock cold-side tube which is built from composite plastics to save cost, the Banks cold-side Boost-Tube is made of high-strength aluminized steel. Both hot and cold side boost tubes feature stainless steel T-bolt clamps to hold onto the heavy-duty 5-ply silicone couplers. The Banks tubes will not crack over time like the factory piping.
