The Banks Power 42180 Ram-Air Intake System provides cooler, denser, outside air for the engine in your 2010-2012 Dodge 6.7L Diesel. This Banks cold air intake system helps maximize the airflow of cool, dense air into your diesel engine for greater power while helping to enhance fuel economy. Due to the enclosed cold-air housing, huge inlet with a colossal dome-shaped filter, and streamlined internal design, this intake system flows 50% better than the factory unit. The exclusive 4.5” bellows to accommodate engine movement to ensure this intake system lasts for many years to come.
Testing, Testing & More Testing
Every Banks Ram-Air Intake System has undergone extensive testing and validation, beginning with CAD software prototypes and multiple flow simulations. Once a hardware prototype is created, it is installed and tested on a vehicle before being tested on a flowbench. Lastly, Banks puts the Ram-Air intake systems through their paces in density tests to make sure they outperform the competition.

Installation Tech Tip:
The Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor is installed in the intake tube of the air intake system. During installation of a cold air intake, the MAF must be removed and transferred over. While replacement of a functioning MAF sensor is not necessary, it is considered a good practice to inspect, clean, or replace the sensor (if needed) whenever it's removed.
