The Banks Power Quick-Turbo Assembly 24450 is actually the turbine housing. The Diesel Site Wicked Wheel’s that we sell are for the compressor housing side of the turbo. Both items can be installed on your factory turbo together.

They are actually two different products. The Banks Power Quick-Turbo Assembly 24450 is actually only the turbine section of the turbo and is to be installed on your factory turbo. The BD TURBO THRUSTER 2 is a full turbo and designed to replace your factory turbo. The Banks Power Quick-Turbo Assembly is an A/R 1.0 turbine housing, which is the same size as that of which is actually equipped on the BD Turbo Thruster 2.

The Banks Power Quick-Turbo Assembly 24450 is a 1.0 AR housing. With your factory being 1.10, the 1.0 will be biased more towards low-end torque and optimal boost response. However, at higher engine speeds, this smaller A/R housing will result in high back pressure, which can result in a loss of top end power. This type of engine performance is desirable for street applications where the low speed boost response and transient conditions are more important than top end power. (This will give you the umph you are looking for.)

The factory is biased towards peak horsepower, while sacrificing transient response and torque at very low engine speeds. The larger A/R turbine housing will continue to minimize backpressure at high rpm, to the benefit of engine peak power. On the other hand, this will also raise the engine speed at which the turbo can provide boost, increasing time to boost.

The BANKS POWER QUICK-TURBO ASSEMBLY 24450 will ONLY fit the 1994-1997 POWERSTROKE 7.3L Turbo Diesel.
