Description
Upgrade the transmission pan in your Ford 7.3, 6.0, & 6.4 Powerstroke equipped with a E4OD, 4R100, or 5R110 when you install the BD-Power 1061716 Deep Sump Transmission Pan. An easy upgrade for the transmission in your truck, BD's Deep Sump Transmission Pan adds 6 quarts of fluid capacity over the stock pan. Featuring a cast aluminum construction with built-in heat dissipating fins, the Deep Sump Transmission Pan also adds rigidity to your transmission to help eliminate case twisting. Each pan comes ready to install with a transmission pan o-ring gasket and is pre-drilled and tapped for a temperature sending unit port.

Very good part. Does help keep the transmission heat down when pulling a load and easy enough to install. Only issue I had was the o-ring seal it came with was to large for the pan.

Seems to work. My temps (not sure from where) never go over 140 even in heavy plowing (full stops) or towing full loads dump trailer. Also added cooler. Running Schaeffers Supreme ATF.

It was a tight fit getting this pan installed on my '02 Excursion, but it does fit. This excellent product keeps my transmission noticeably cooler while towing my 10K+ Lb. trailer. Highly recommended!

Does this include new bolts or reuse the factory ones?
BD-Power includes (20 - 8mmx25mm Bolts) with the purchase of the 1601705 trans pan.
Do I need a new dipstick that's longer in length to read the fluid level since this holds 6 more quarts?
No, the BD-Power 1061716 Deep Sump Transmission Pan does not require a new dipstick as your old dip stick will still read the correct fluid level.
Does this pan still use the Ford factory filter or does it come with a different longer filter because of the deep pan?
BD-Power recommends using the Motorcraft FT-180 5R110W Transmission Filter when installing the BD-Power 1061716 Deep Sump Transmission Pan that can be Found Here!
This fits the 2000 ford excursion correct?
Yes, the BD Diesel 1061716 Deep Sump Transmission Pan will work on an Excursion with a 4R100 or 5R110.
