Description

The BD-Power TowMaster 48RE Transmission is built to handle 400HP and a drop-in replacement transmission for your Dodge 5.9L Diesel. The stock transmission in your truck is designed to handle the output of the stock engine, but not much else. Enhance the durability of your drivetrain with a BD transmission. All BD-Diesel transmissions come with BD's heavy-duty transmission pan and an auxiliary transmission filter kit for even more protection!

What kind of power is this transmission capable of holding up to?

As a daily drive/tow vehicle, the transmission will hold 500-600HP as long as the truck is not being beat on at every traffic light. The transmission would hold more power with the addition of the Heavy Duty Flex Plate and Billet Input Shaft.
