The Borgeson 800123 "New" 6-Bolt Dodge Box for your 03-08 Dodge Ram is an upgrade over your factory unit. Borgeson has sourced and adapted this brand new massive power steering box for the 2003-2008 Dodge trucks. Similar to Chrysler's offering for the 03-08 Dodger trucks this Borgeson Dodge Box offers the largest piston diameter for the most available power assist and a modern variable valve that allows for stable highway driving and effortless parking and maneuvering. Borgeson has adapted the pitman shaft to be compatible with all OEM and dropped pitman arms that fit the stock box.

I had the factory steering box and had 4" of play from center, either way. Put the new 6 bolt on and during my test drive I sneezed and about ran off the road it was so tight. Perfection.

These boxes used to be amazing years ago, but it seems that they've completely given up on their quality control. My original box was tighter than this POS, it needed adjustment right after installing it along with their shaft.
My entire front end was brand new when I installed it, I contacted Borgeson and they tried to blame it on everything except for their box. The amount of play in the steering wheel is absurd all while the pitman arm doesn't even move.
Spend your hard-earned money on buying a brand-new 10-bolt directly from Mopar and you won't regret it.
