What do I do with water sensor that screws into stock filter if I use conversion?
The Water in Filter (WIF) sensor at the bottom of your factory filter is disconnected. This sensor can be saved or discarded as it will not be re-installed. (Removal of the WIF sensor will not trigger a check engine light.
Is this filter a direct replacement for the stock filter minus the water sensor?
The Cat 1R-0750 is one the best alternatives to running a factory filter. The XDP Cat Filter Adapter is required to run these filters though. The XD171 adapter kit can be found by clicking HERE. It even includes a filter!
