The Dayco A061382 Aramid Cord Poly Rib Serpentine Belt - Main Drive is engineered for higher output engines and tighter engine packaging. Manufacturers use serpentine belts with aramid tensile cord in applications that may have noise, vibration or harshness issues. Aramid fibers are heat-resistant synthetic fibers are so durable that they are even used in military applications for ballistic-rated body armor fabric and composites. The "W" profile ribbing on this belt has been engineered to conform to minor misalignments to help minimize belt noise.
