DEI 050129 Under Hood Black Thermal Acoustic Lining

My 1955 Chevrolet has a much larger engine installed than the original factory engine. The external metal temperature of my hood was over 150 F in some places. This was causing paint issues. Prior to repainting the hood, I wanted to reduce the hood metal temperatures, to provide for longer paint life. I installed the DEI black under hood thermal lining (50129). It was easy to cut out the correct shapes with scissors, and it was also easy to install using just the sticky backing. It looks great, and it lowered the hood external metal temperature to less than 100 F. I don't normally write reviews for a product, but this is a product that works, easy to install, and looks good.
