DFC Diesel Remanufactured Long Block Crate Engine

The DFC Long Block Crate Engine is a great option for any diesel enthusiast looking to replace the tired and damaged engine in their 2006-2007 GM 6.6L Duramax LBZ. One of the many improvements is that every Duramax remanufactured engines receives an EDM oil pump shaft with a hardened dowel installed to prevent slipping and the risk of losing oil pressure. DFC also uses Rottler machining equipment that allows these engines to have  tolerances that are tighter and more precise than OEM specification. DFC makes sure that every engine is built to the same high quality standards by using only the best cores and rejects components that require considerable “restoring”. The DFC short block is machined with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies to help you get a smoother running engine that makes less noise and is more balanced. DFC short blocks include reinforced internals with new pistons, rings, doweled oil pump, bearings, and rods. 

Unlike some others in the industry that re-use wearing items like valves and valves guides, DFC installs all new valves from high quality sources like MAHLE or SBI and replaces each valve guide with a new cast guide in every cylinder head. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking giving you a more durable cylinder head.

Oil Cooler - highly recommended and mandatory if your past engine had a bearing failure.

Injectors - highly recommended especially on higher model engines or engines with contaminated fuel.

Turbocharger - recommended if mileage over 125K, mandatory if shaft play, or if engine was dusted.

Water Pump - highly recommended if engine has over 125K. 

Evans Waterless Coolant - recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion and boilover.
