Description
The DFC Diesel Remanufactured Street Series Long Block Crate Engine is a cost effective option to a factory replacement engine in your 2004.5-2007 Dodge 5.9L Diesel (Automatic & Manual). Built for the daily driver, work truck owner, and diesel enthusiast that wants a quality build, the Street Series Long Block is constructed to meet strict guidelines. DFC makes crucial upgrades that help your engine maintain its high performance capability with no drawbacks to reliability. Machined using advanced Rottler machining equipment, you can be sure your engine is built to tolerances that are tighter than the factory specs for an efficient and long lasting engine!
Engine Remanufacturing:
DFC engines are built utilizing some of the most advanced machining equipment in North America. This Rottler equipment helps ensure the engines feature tolerances that are better than OEM specifications. The DFC long block is machined with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies to help you get a smoother running engine that makes less noise and is more balanced. DFC long blocks include reinforced internals with new pistons, rings, valves, springs, doweled oil pump, bearings, and rods.
Cylinder Head:
Unlike some other engine builders in the industry that re-use wearing items like valves and valves guides, DFC installs all new valves from high quality sources like MAHLE or SBI and replaces each valve guide with a new cast guide in every cylinder head. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable cylinder head.
Upgraded Fasteners:
DFC Street Series engines come standard with Head Studs to give you peace of mind that your new engine won't fail like an OE Ford engine due to head gasket issues. Not only does DFC use Head Studs to keep the heads in place they also replace the factory connecting rod bolts with upgraded fasteners when assembling the bottom end of your 6.0 Powerstroke engine to ensure that you have an engine that is more dependable than the original.
Street Series 5.9L Long Block Includes:
The DFC Long Block has all rockers and pushrods preset to factory specifications and includes a remanufactured cylinder head, internal components, front & rear cover, oil pan, and the complete gasket kit for long block installation.

New Engine Checklist & Things You Need To Know:
- New Oil Cooler - Required For Warranty (Sold Separately)
- New Filters - Air, Oil, Fuel - Required For Warranty (Sold Separately)
- New Water Pump - Required For Warranty (Sold Separately)
- New Lubricating Oil - Required For Warranty (Sold Separately)
- Injectors - highly recommended especially on higher model engines or engines with contaminated fuel.
- Turbocharger - recommended if mileage over 125K, mandatory if shaft play, or if engine was dusted.
- Evans Waterless Coolant - recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion and boilover.
- Long Block engines typically consist of a short block with cylinder heads and are ready for the final buildup.
- This long block does not include bolt-on components such as the valve covers, intake, exhaust, fuel system, or turbo components.
- The parts above must be swapped over from your existing engine and then installed on your new DFC Long Block.
- Engine Warranty Is Void If Not Installed With The Correct Fluids as Specified By The Manufacturer.
- Top end gaskets, injector return Line seal kit, and turbocharger gasket kit not included.
- The specific brand of each component may change due to part availability at the time of each build.
- Parts are chosen at the discretion of DFC and cannot be specially requested.
- DFC uses only the best components sourced from multiple brands during the remanufacturing process.

Wouldn't recommend DFC

Purchased this engine for a customer’s truck solely because of the warranty. Within 1000 miles the head gasket went even after a hot retorque as per DFC Diesel instructions. Replaced the head gasket under warranty and 45 days later I still have not been paid. They also reuse many components such as a camshaft, so buyer beware you could be getting a $6K+ motor with a camshaft that has 300k miles.
