Description
The DFC SS640810AULB Street Series Long Block is constructed for the driver that needs a replacement engine for their 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke (Automatic Transmission). Every DFC engine is remanufactured to meet the most stringent guidelines. DFC makes important improvements that help your engine maintain its high-performance ability while leaving durability and reliability unaffected. Crafted using advanced Rottler machining equipment, you can rest easy knowing that your engine is built to tolerances that are tighter than the factory specs for a more efficient and long-lasting engine!
Engine Remanufacturing:
DFC engines are built utilizing some of the most advanced machining equipment in North America. This Rottler equipment helps ensure the engines feature tolerances that are better than OEM specifications. The DFC long block is machined with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies to help you get a smoother running engine that makes less noise and is more balanced. DFC long blocks include reinforced internals with new pistons, rings, valves, springs, doweled oil pump, bearings, and rods.
Cylinder Head:
Every 6.4L Powerstroke Street Series engine comes standard with O-ring cylinder heads. DFC replaces each valve guide with a new set cast guides in every cylinder head. Instead of just a re-grind of the old burnt valves, DFC installs all new valves from high quality sources like MAHLE or SBI. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking giving you a more durable cylinder head.
Upgraded Fasteners:
DFC Street Series engines come standard with Head Studs to give you peace of mind that your new engine won’t fail like the stock engine due to head gasket issues. Not only does DFC use Head Studs, when assembling the bottom end of your 6.4L Powerstroke engine, they also replace the factory connecting rod bolts with upgraded fasteners to ensure that you have an engine that is more dependable than the original.
Street Series 6.4L Long Block Includes:
Complete long block with cylinder heads, all rockers and pushrods installed, head studs, upgraded connecting rod bolts, complete top end gasket kit to finish installation.

- New Oil Cooler - Required For Warranty (Sold Separately)
- New Filters - Air, Oil, Fuel - Required For Warranty (Sold Separately)
- New Water Pump - Required For Warranty (Sold Separately)
- New Lubricating Oil - Required For Warranty (Sold Separately)
- Injectors - highly recommended especially on higher model engines or engines with contaminated fuel.
- Turbocharger - recommended if mileage over 125K, mandatory if shaft play, or if engine was dusted.
- Evans Waterless Coolant - recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion and boilover.
- Long Block engines typically consist of a short block with cylinder heads and are ready for the final buildup.
- This long block does not include bolt-on components such as the valve covers, intake, exhaust, fuel system, or turbo components.
- The parts above must be swapped over from your existing engine and then installed on your new DFC Long Block.
- Engine Warranty Is Void If Not Installed With The Correct Fluids as Specified By The Manufacturer.
- The specific brand of each component may change due to part availability at the time of each build.
- Parts are chosen at the discretion of DFC and cannot be specially requested.
- DFC uses only the best components sourced from multiple brands during the remanufacturing process.
