The XDP Dodge 12V 5.9L Diesel Top End Gasket Kit with Head Studs offers a solution for servicing the top end, or replacing the cylinder head on your Dodge 5.9L diesel engine. This kit is assembled with OE-style gaskets, heavy-duty head studs, rocker pedestals, assembly lube, and thread cleaning chasers, giving you the components you need to complete the job.

This kit is built with the MAHLE HS4068 Head Set, a direct OE-style replacement for your head gasket needs. MAHLE uses high-quality materials for a factory-style gasket that provides you with a long service life and perfect fit.

For added strength and reliability on your build, this kit includes a Head Stud Kit.  These head studs have a much higher strength than the factory bolts and will not stretch like the original fasteners. This added strength will help keep your engine from "popping" head gaskets.

To properly install and torque the Head Studs, you can use the included ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant. TUltra-Torque has been specifically designed to reduce tension preload scatter and eliminate the need to cycle high performance engine fasteners before final installation. ARP Ultra-Torque far surpasses all requirements offered by previous ARP lubricants in terms of fastener preload repeatability and performance lubricating properties.

The XDP Thread Cleaning Chasers are included to allow you to prepare your engine block for head stud installation. These thread chasers allow you to clean the internally threaded holes to ensure they are free from old sealants, lubricants, or debris, ensuring proper installation and torquing.

The 12-valve trucks are unique in that rocker arm pedestals must be machined for installation of the studs. This normally requires tearing the truck down, sending them out to a machine shop, waiting, and then reinstalling them. The included Rocker Arm Pedestal Set eliminates the need for machining your stock pedestals, just install the new ones with your head studs.
