Description
The FASS Electric Heater Kit HK-1001 is intended as an upgrade for FASS Fuel Systems being used in extremely cold climates. Each FASS Titanium Series pump has ports for two electric heaters, that will aid in cold weather starts and keep fuel from gelling up while driving during sub freezing temperatures. The heater will begin warming the fuel block once the key is in the on position and will automatically shut off after the proper temperature has been reached. While FASS Fuel Systems are built to start your diesel engine in the coldest of temperatures, adding a FASS Electric Heater Kit will have you ready up for whatever mother nature throws your way.

My experience, don't buy.

Purchased this kit, extra element, fass lift pump and a splitter to put the 2 elements. Wiring kit and 2 elements came in separate boxes from warehouse. Wiring was for the lift pump not the heaters. Lift pump kit came in a total separate box with its own wiring. Called and told them they sent wrong wiring for elements. Blamed on fass, its been 2 months after sending pictures. Not a peep.
Don’t follow instructions

I purchased this and wired it in per instructions. They suggest key on power. If you live in cold climate like Montana, get both heater probes the Y splice piece and wire to a toggle switch to warm up the fuel filters about 15 minutes before you start. Otherwise it doesn’t flow as advertised when -40f and the fuse blows for the pump and runs the truck out of diesel. Injectors are expensive.

The provided adapter is aluminum and very easy to ruin when torquing on. I had to order a replacement and wait for it. The directions say to torque it on then add the heater. I'm going to try adding the heater first on the second round to see how that goes. The quality of the pump is amazing, but I'm not impressed with this accessory.
