The Garrett 848212-5001S New Stock Replacement GT3788VA Turbocharger for your 2004.5-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax LLY/LBZ/LMM is a direct replacement for your failed factory unit. This turbocharger is 100% new and is not rebuilt or remanufactured. A new Garrett turbocharger is a superior product versus independently remanufactured units. Only a brand new turbocharger guarantees having all the latest engineering updates needed for longer service life. The center housing has been enhanced, with the addition of 3 cobalt pins, in order to reduce distortion and improve vane actuation. As a result, the durability of the turbocharger is improved.

The shipping was extremely fast. I got this turbo to be able to pass California ridiculous smog, and to get rid of that pesky $ light. I still have not installed it yet, but with the aid of Kroil spray. So far no broken bolts or studs.

Bought this as it’s really the most economical option I feel. I could have cleaned my old one up, bought a new Vane position sensor, and a rebuild kit. When I weighed out that cost it’s not too terribly much more just to replace it with a brand new one. And considering how time consuming the swap was, I’m glad I just went new in case I messed up the rebuild. Works like a champ now, thanks for the military discount too.

The GARRETT 848212-5001S STOCK REPLACEMENT TURBOCHARGER is a stock OEM replacement turbo. This turbocharger is 100% brand new and the center section has been enhanced, with the addition of 3 cobalt pins. These pins aid in reducing distortion and improve vane actuation.
