Description
The Motorcraft EVG-1 Head Gasket & Upper Seal Kit (18mm) allows you to reassemble the top end of your 2003-2006 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke engine. The head bolts on the 6.0L engine are known to stretch and it can blow out the head gaskets. A blown head gasket causes the coolant and motor oil to mix, requiring the gaskets to be replaced. The entire top end of the motor must come apart to replace the gaskets, and many shops remove the cab from the frame to make getting the rear head bolts easier.
This kit is assembled with genuine Motorcraft components and is the same high-quality parts your truck was assembled with. This reseal kit includes the gaskets, O-rings, and dowels required to install the heads, valve covers, intake, and exhaust manifolds onto the short block.

18mm Alignment Dowels were manufactured September 30, 2003 - Jan 11, 2006 (verify that the ICP sensor is located on the passenger side valve cover above the glow plug control module).
20mm Alignment Dowels were manufactured January 12, 2006 and newer.
