Description
The PPE Silicone Upper & Lower Coolant Hose Kit replaces the worn or leaky factory coolant hoses in your 2001-2005 GM 6.6L Duramax LB7/LLY. The factory coolant hose T fittings are molded hose or made out of plastic and are prone to cracking at junctions, causing coolant loss. Engineered for performance and durability, featuring 4-ply heat-resistant internal fibers that provide strength against high-pressures and temperatures.
PPEs Silicone Coolant Hose Kit incorporates TIG welded, polished 304 stainless steel T fittings that eliminate any chance of failures at the T junctions. Durable 5mm thick silicone is twice as thick as the factory hose to ensure long-lasting performance. Worm-drive clamps with W-style inner liners ensure a tight fit that performs better than factory. The PPE Performance Silicone Coolant Hose Kit is a direct, bolt-on upgrade that requires no cutting or modifications. Perfect factory fit with better-than-factory performance.

Not ready to install right out of the box. Every joint had to be rotated to some degree. Very time consuming. The same properties that make these silicone hoses great performers also make them extremely difficult to adjust. In some cases a chunk of the hose broke off, stuck to the coupler, as it was rotated. It's as if the hose itself had melted to the coupler. Lubrication is a must for the fittings and connections!! The clamps were extremely tight tolerance, even when loose, making them difficult to manipulate over the rib or barb. One clamp was completely froze up and would not even adjust forcing us to remove it completely. Install took about three hours where as a molded style hose may have taken 30 minutes. I hope they last. Overall, I would not recommend this lower hose unless you are not in a hurry and very patient.
