The PSC SG039 XD Steering Box is an upgrade for the problematic factory unit in your 2001-2010 GM Silverado/Sierra 2500HD/3500HD 4WD Classic Body Style Pickup. The PSC XD Steering Gear features a 45mm sector shaft and bearing to prevent the pitman arm and sector shaft flex that causes the lower seal to fail. Larger teeth and other internal components have been increased in size to handle the loads when increasing tire size on your truck. Fits 4 spline pitman arms only.

Application Notes:
This steering box is offered only with a 4 spline sector shaft, if you have a 3 spline sector shaft you will need a new pitman arm.

Great product overall. PSC pitman arm is required. Reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because the lower steering shaft was extremely difficult to fit. I recommend replacing the lower steering shaft with a new one.

Some adjustments had to be made while installing this unit. Some of the original power steering lines had to be re-bent in order to fit into place. Also the stock power steering shaft is not a telescopic shaft and is too short. You will need to order one with a female U-joint. Otherwise, the truck steers better and handles heavy loads and 4-wheel drive better than the stock box. I would recommend this product to those looking for good performance steering.
