The Titan 7040216 50 Gallon Mid-Ship Replacement Fuel Tank for your 2016-2019 Nissan Titan XD 5.0L Diesel provides you with additional fuel capacity for peace of mind whether driving down the highway or through remote rural areas. The increased capacity also gives you the ability to shop for lower fuel prices without having to fill-up every time you pass a fuel station.
This new Nissan tank is made of TITANs famous military grade, cross-linked polymer (XLHDPE). Its at least ¼ thick and built to outlast all competitors. Its tougher than steel and more durable than aluminum. TITAN routinely tests their products using state-of-the-art computer simulation as well as actual, physical drop tests. They fill their tanks completely and drop them 30 feet onto a steel plate---never losing a drop of liquid. These legendary products are so tough and well-proven that they are backed with a Lifetime Warranty!
TITAN Fuel Tanks utilize common sense design features, which simplify installation. They reuse most of the stock components, including the existing sending unit. So far the titan tank was a great purchase and the installation was not very hard at all. I installed it by myself which took me a little bit longer but overall it was not a hard installation. I would highly recommend this tank.

Time will tell but so far the first tank of diesel is burning just like it should. I will note that I did have obvious air to work out of the lines and had to prime it a few times. All things to be expected when you remove the whole fuel tank from a vehicle. The tank is solid built, all the parts were included, and the instructions were fairly clear. I did pull up the color versions from online to help with the install. The hardest part was getting the old tank out and figuring out how to disconnect the hoses from the top of the tank. In the instructions there wasn't anything to aid in taking the clips off that hold the hoses on. One hose has two buttons you push in and then pull the hose off. The other two have plastic tabs you pull off and then the hoses come off easy. The clips are similar to a C clip or E clip, just made out of plastic and they go into a grove in the hose end. I can now go 600 - 700 miles before stopping for fuel which is a huge improvement for trips cross country.
