Really easy to install. Only thing I wish is it had a place to plug In your water in fuel sensor.

First off, I want to state I’ve been a master diesel mechanic for 14 years. I bought this filter adapter because if I didn't like the fitment, I could reinstall the factory unit because there's no cutting and supposed to be no modifying. After installing I went to put the filter on, and it didn't want to go on because it was touching the starter cable. So, I added a shim behind the bottom of the mounting bracket which pulled it away from the cable. The way this adapter is made it really pulls on the lines which put stress on the lines where the banjo bolt goes through, if it was a half-inch wider you wouldn't have that problem. Then after priming the system, I had a leak from the plug on top of the filter base that was installed by the manufacturer with no thread tape or sealant. Again, an easy fix but the quality of this product is lacking. Another thing to note is this unit deletes the water in the fuel sensor and fuel heater. I wish there were a way for someone to accommodate both as water contamination is more likely to damage injectors than 5 microns less on the filter. Again, I like the idea of running a 2-micron filter, but this part needs work before I’d ever recommend anyone buy it.

This product is amazing, truly can tell a difference from the stock filter housing. I recommend any products from XtremeDiesel! Always have had good luck with them. Prices aren’t bad either!
