Description

Eliminate the hassle of servicing the cooling system in your 2006-2019 GM 6.6L Duramax with the XDP Radiator Coolant Drain Pipe XD328. Draining the cooling system in your truck requires removal of the lower radiator hose. Once that hose is removed, you'll find yourself scrambling trying to contain the mess of over 4 gallons of coolant. While some use buckets, kiddie pools, and many other methods, none solve the real issue of trying to eliminate the mess and contain the coolant so it can be re-used or properly disposed of without splashing all over the floor of your shop, garage, or driveway.

The XDP Radiator Coolant Drain Pipe XD328 helps you keep things clean and controlled during routine maintenance. With the included ball valve that has a 3/8" NPT drain outlet, you can drain your cooling system with just the turn of a lever. Built from CNC machined billet aluminum, the XD328 installs in-line with one easy cut through the lower factory radiator hose. Simply cut the hose, slide the XDP Radiator Coolant Drain Pipe in place, and tighten down the included T-bolt clamps to complete the installation. Each drain valve comes ready to install and is anodized black for aesthetics and corrosion resistance.

Features:
  • Black Anodized Finish
  • Simply Cut Existing Hose & Install
  • CNC Machined Billet Aluminum Construction
  • Allows Easy Controllable Draining Of Cooling System
Manufacturer Warranty*:
2 Year / Unlimited Mileage
Note: The XD328 has only been tested for use on the OEM hoses. In some cases, performance silicone hoses may not maintain the same diameter internally causing a loose fit. Please be aware of what kind of hoses are on your truck before purchasing this product.

Instruction sheet needs to be of a better quality… Instructions are to someone great, if you have installed, this adapter before… Instructions for the first time installer, is of confusing information.. XDP.. Needs to update to a better quality color instruction sheet.. Nowhere on the sheet does it specifically state what this unit fits ! Adapter is in need of a machinist de-burr, many sharp edges.. I report more when I try to install this item.

I really wanted to give this a 5 star but let me explain. So after purchasing my PPE coolant hoses and getting very comfortable with their hose clamps, the T- Clamp that comes with this just don't cut the cake. After chasing instal leaks I finally found that the t-clamp design caused the hose to bulge where the T is and thus a leak appeared... "Oh just tighten it real good" trust me I did and went to advance to get a set of hose clamps that have a ring inside of the threaded ring. I like the function of the valve though, Beats running to get an allen wrench to drain it! But do take into account that that drain plug hangs low so if your putting the plastic air dam up you will have to adjust your placement to ensure fit!

A must have for an LBZ

Great product and pretty straight forward install. One thing I would change is don't use the thread tape, it's worthless. Use a high temp thread sealant and just do it once.

Great product!! Necessity for a 2011

Well built item and simple to install, but had to give it 4 stars because it’s a little more involved than the instructions allude to. First, the drain valve sits below the level of the plastic deflector shield, so you’ll have to go without after install (unless you tilt product 90* but then you defeat purpose). And also my truck had a nylon protective rub-sleeve on the lower hose that needed to be trimmed to allow for product to be inserted. Overall - awesome product from an awesome company, just wasn’t as straight forward as it seemed. Order# 1470072
