The XDP HD High Output Alternator offers an increase in output over the factory alternator, allowing your electrical system to keep up with the increased electrical load. The HD Series Alternators feature an ultra-durable Wrinkle Black coating for enhanced underhood aesthetics. Each alternator comes pre-tested with a test card included and ready for installation using the factory mounting locations, factory belt, and existing electrical connections.

This alternator includes a ground lug that is optional to use but will require the end user to make a ground wire and run it from the lug to the battery. If you do not wish to utilize the additional ground lug, simply install the alternator exactly like the factory unit.

Appropriately packaged, bench test tags were legible, and the product was a drop in replacement. Only oddity was a temporary smell (I assume from the wrinkle finish) that goes away in a very short time frame. Unit did have a ground stud which is uncommon and is not implemented on OE alternator, but appears to be entirely optional for use.
