I run a very high power sound system and running it at night with all the extra lights on was a struggle for the stock alternator, now it doesn't even phase this thing, handles it like a pro. I have a 1/0 power cable running to the junction box and a 4ga ground running to the cab and piggy backed to the battery and frame. It has no problems running dual viair 440c`s 3000 watts in amps and a 32inch ridgid light bar all at the same time.

Hoping this will preform as advertised. I have a lot of extra draw on my 2006 LBZ. For example, I got 8k miles and 7 months out of a reman from a national parts shop. Positive charging stud on this alternator is bigger than factory connection. I had to use a round chain saw file to make my factory connection big enough to fit on the alternator stud. Otherwise install went easy as pie.

Really simple to install. Looks Amazing. Love the finish. XDP should make universal wiring kits to upgrade the alternator charge wires. You will need to upgrade your charge wire and add a ground. Very simple.
