The Banks Power 42798-PC Red Monster-Ram Intake With Heater & Intake Plate is designed to significantly improve the airflow in your Ram 6.7L Diesel's lower manifold. This intake was developed using advanced CFD software and tested extensively on the road, dyno, and flow bench. It is a direct-fit replacement with cast aluminum construction, providing instant power and improved acceleration.
The Monster-Ram intake system is further enhanced with the addition of the High-Flow Heater and Billet Intake Plate. The High-Flow Heater replaces the original restricted heater grid plate, allowing for even greater airflow. The vertical coil-style heater performs similarly to the stock heater grid in terms of cold start assistance, but without hindering airflow. The Banks Intake Plate replaces the original grid heater plate, eliminating obstructions and turbulence in the airflow channel.
The Banks Power Monster-Ram Intake With Billet Heater & Intake Plate redesigns your truck's intake manifold. The original intake elbow is sharp and cramped to accommodate the No. 1 fuel line. Banks re-engineered the No. 1 fuel line to allow for improved airflow and reduced blockage in this intake. While the standard intake manifold only flows 421 cfm (32.16 lbs/min), this intake manifold with intake plate flows 936 cfm (71.5 lbs/min). The increased airflow provides a boost to the turbine without raising backpressure. The improved throttle response results in a more efficient engine with even greater potential for higher horsepower applications than the standard intake manifold can offer.

Installation Tech Tip:
The MAP Sensor on this truck is mounted to the back of the intake elbow which you will be replacing with this Banks Monster-Ram. While replacement of the MAP Sensor is not required during the installation of this product, soot buildup over time can affect sensor accuracy by interfering with the pressure and temperature readings. For this reason, many take the opportunity to inspect, clean, and replace the MAP Sensor if necessary.
Note:
This intake system is not compatible with the Cab & Chassis models.
