The from XDP is designed for diesel
enthusiasts who want to replace their Duramax engine with a top-quality remanufactured engine. DFC makes important
improvements during the remanufacturing process to ensure reliability,
even in high-performance applications. DFC upgrades the Duramax's weak
points by adding parts like an EDM oil pump shaft with a hardened dowel
and a Woodruff Keyed camshaft to prevent slipping and oil pressure loss.
DFC uses Rottler machining equipment for precise tolerances that exceed
OEM specifications. DFC carefully inspects every core before the build
process and selects only the best ones, rejecting any components that
require extensive restoration to maintain the highest standards.
Engine Remanufacturing:
DFC engines are built utilizing some of the most advanced machining equipment in North America. This Rottler equipment helps ensure the engines feature tolerances that are better than OEM specifications. The
DFC long block is machined with near identical weight piston and
connecting rod assemblies to help you get a smoother running engine that
makes less noise and is more balanced. DFC long blocks include
reinforced internals with new pistons, rings, valves, springs, doweled oil pump,
bearings, and rods.
Cylinder Head:
Unlike
some other remanufacturing companies in the industry that re-use
wearing items like valves and valves guides, DFC replaces each guide
with a new cast guide and installs all new valves from high quality
sources like MAHLE or SBI in every cylinder head. To address common
cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC machines each head to remove
the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve
seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable
cylinder head.
Callies Crankshaft:
The
included Compstar-Durastar crankshaft from Callies features a Deep
DuraCase nitride treatment that enhances durability and wear. Rod
journals are drilled for reduced inertia and ease of balance. All
journals feature True Form fillet radii and the timing gear is keyed to
prevent shearing. These journals are also polished to a 6Ra or finer
finish. The stroke is 3.898" with OEM journal diameters and width.
Callies constructs this crankshaft through hardened 4340 steel. The
damper fit is dual keyed. This crankshaft accepts OEM post and flange
bolts in addition to OEM flywheels / flexplates. The main bearing oil
holes have lead-ins for enhanced cold start oil flow to rod journals.
Street Series 6.6L Long Block Includes:
Complete
short block with the front cover and seal, rear cover with main seal,
oil pan, all new internal components, cylinder heads with all rockers
and pushrods installed, doweled oil pump gear, woodruff keyed cam shaft,
and complete gasket kit for installation.

- Injectors - highly recommended especially on higher model engines or engines with contaminated fuel.
- Turbocharger - recommended if mileage over 125K, mandatory if shaft play, or if engine was dusted.
- Evans Waterless Coolant - recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion and boilover.
- Long Block engines typically consist of a short block with cylinder heads and are ready for the final buildup.
- This long block does not include bolt-on components such as the valve covers, intake, exhaust, fuel system, or turbo components.
- The parts above must be swapped over from your existing engine and then installed on your new DFC Long Block.
