Remanufactured to meet strict guidelines, the DFC Diesel Remanufactured Street Series Long Block Crate Engine is an excellent replacement for the tired engine to your 1998.5-1999 Dodge 5.9L Diesel (Manual & Auto With Trigger Gear Crankshaft). Built for the diesel enthusiast that wants a  higher quality build, the Street Series Long Block has crucial upgrades that help your engine maintain its high performance capability with no penalty on reliability. Machined using advanced Rottler machining equipment, you can be sure your engine is built to tolerances that are more precise than the factory specs for an efficient and long lasting engine! To ensure that every engine is built to the same high quality standards, DFC uses only the best cores and rejects components that require considerable "restoring". As a result you get a reliable and durable engine that is guaranteed to perform. 

DFC engines are usually matched with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies. As a result, you get a smoother running engine that creates less noise and feels more balanced. This remanufactured Long Block includes new pistons, rings, bearings, and seals.

Each 5.9L Street Series engine comes standard with OptiTorque or ARP head studs (depending on availability). The Street Series engine features improved gasket sealing methods in common leakage areas and has a multi-layer steel head gasket.

DFC replaces each valve guide with a new cast guide in every cylinder head. Instead of just giving the old valves a re-grind, DFC installs all new valves from high quality sources like MAHLE or SBI. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable cylinder head.

Each DFC Street Series Long Block Engine comes standard with a 5-year, 100,000 mile warranty (Non-Commercial). 

The DFC Long Block has all rockers and pushrods preset to factory specifications and includes a remanufactured cylinder head, internal components, front & rear cover, oil pan, and the complete gasket kit for long block installation.

Oil Cooler - highly recommended and mandatory if your past engine had a bearing failure.

Injectors - highly recommended especially on higher mileage engines or engines with contaminated fuel.

Turbocharger - recommended if mileage over 125K miles, mandatory if shaft play is present, or if engine was dusted.

Water Pump - highly recommended if engine has over 125K miles. 

Evans Waterless Coolant - recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion, boilover, and all-around a better cooling system performance.

For use on models with trigger gear on the crankshaft.
