The Edge Products 30200 EZ Module for your 1998.5-2000 Dodge 5.9L Diesel is the ultimate performance upgrade for the driver that wants affordable adjustability, added towing power, quick and easy installation, and improved fuel economy. The EZ offers a quick 10 minute installation that requires no expensive mechanic labor, no drilling, and no computer downloading. Simply plug the Edge EZ into 2 stock connections and you're ready to go.
The EZ provides real power you can switch between 3 power levels to add up to 65 HP. The EZ safely provides power to help eliminate downshifting. The EZ is also tuned with a special fuel economy level* that improves the atomization of fuel, which in turn allows Edge to add power, while at the same time delivering between a 5-10% improvement in MPG when driving in level one. Add to that the EZ's price point and you have the ultimate value on the performance market today.
There is not another product on the market today that delivers power so safely and so economically, and at the same time is so easy to install.
The following power gains are representative of an actual test vehicle. These gains were measured on a SuperFlow Dyno at an altitude of 4400 ft above sea level, and represent power delivered to the rear wheels of the test truck. The only modification made to the test truck was the addition of the Edge EZ module. Power gains may vary based on vehicle and geographical location.
Level 1: 20 Horsepower - 45 Foot Pounds of Torque
Level 2: 30 Horsepower - 77 Foot Pounds of Torque
Level 3: 65 Horsepower - 180 Foot Pounds of Torque
*Increase in fuel efficiency varies based on driving style.
Edge recommends the use of gauges when using any performance upgrade
Adjusting Power Levels
The Edge EZ Module offers 3 levels of power beyond stock. The power from the Edge EZ Module begins by plugging the module into your truck. The power levels are adjusted by changing the in cab switch position to the level you need. Adjusting power levels on an EZ module has never been EZier!

I am a little dissappointed in the power - I also have a Superchips D-Box that boasts the same power output, but seems to make more power both pulling and going down the hiway.

i had the bully dog torque dog in my 2001 dodge cummings and when i put the edge ez in and took the bully dog out the edge made alot more power

Mileage went up 2...Truck seems to have awoke from its detuned stock "nap". I enjoy the module and it's been trouble-free for nearly a year.Good "starter" module... I'd recommend it.

The Edge EZ is a great starting programmer. It's nothing too serious, so you won't have to replace any other parts, like a fuel pump. It gives me almost 1 mpg better than before, and I notice a definite power increase. It's also fairly cheap for the performance it makes. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants some cheap & reliable aftermarket power.

Just put the edge ez in my 01, and I love it. Its exactly want I expected. Helped with the acceleration of my truck, and more black gold than I expected. If you want a chip thats not gonna break the bank and your truck, then get this one. Easy installation and phenominal results. Cant wait for the airdog coming in soon, because I know its only gonna help it perform better. I couldnt be more satisfied.

can I stack this on with a smarty programmer?
Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)) . For best results, consider working with performance-oriented dealerships with a proven history of working with customers.

[@answer]The Edge Products Power Edge EZ's are a common stack with the Smarty Programmers. Remember to run the Smarty without timing if you plan on stacking. Keep in mind that all trucks react differently and choosing the wrong combo can result in burnt or cracked pistons, blown head gaskets and other costly damages.

It is not recommended to run the Edge Products 30200 EZ Module along with the Superchips as this may cause issues with the engine. You can only stack the Edge Module along with the Smarty programmer when running the Smarty without the added timing.
Is the Edge 30200 street legal in California?
No, the Edge Products 30200 EZ Module is not CARB legal in California.
Can this be used on a 5.9L engine in a motorhome? (1999 model)
No, unfortunately the Edge Products 30200 EZ Module will not work with the motorhome applications as the engine harnesses are different from the trucks.
