The OptiTorque Technologies 10270P Patriot Head Stud Kit from XDP is a high-quality replacement for the weak factory bolts on your 2003-2010 Ford 6.0L Diesel. OptiTorque offers multiple grades of material for various applications. Studs and bolts are made from high-quality domestically melted premium steels. The steel bars are cold worked to enhance mechanical properties and eliminate surface impurities. OptiTorque fasteners undergo a proprietary heat-treatment process, increasing tensile strength without compromising toughness. Fasteners are centerless ground for concentricity and to remove any surface defects from heat treating. Threads are roll formed on the hardened fastener. After threading, the fasteners are stress relieved, deburred, and plated or polished to meet packaging requirements.

Thread Cleaning Chasers are an excellent tool to have on-hand to ensure you have properly cleaned the threads in your engine block before the installation of any fasteners. Clean threads provide accurate torque readings and will help give you peace of mind during your engine build or head gasket repair.
