The XDP HD Replacement Bellowed Up-Pipe Kit XD178 will fix a common issue that robs power from the engine in your 1999.5-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke. Due to expansion and contraction, and extreme heat cycles, the factory-installed "donut" gaskets designed to seal your factory up-pipes will begin to leak over time. These power-robbing exhaust leaks lessen the turbo’s effectiveness, reducing performance, efficiency, and overall drivability.
The XDP HD Replacement Bellowed Up-Pipe Kit eliminate the troublesome "donut" gaskets and replace them with a durable steel crush gasket that will not blow out or leak over time. The Up-Pipes feature a bellowed design that allows for expansion and contraction without needing to rely on a finicky gasket. The exhaust collector features a ceramic coating and the up-pipes are manufactured from stainless steel for increased durability. This kit includes all the hardware and gasket you need for a direct-replacement installation.

There not to head to our in. I'm only 16 and this was the first time I've ever put them on. It took me 3-4 hours. Thanks XDP for the good quality pipes.

Needed up-pipes at 217k miles, due to leaks and losing power towing. Did my homework among the alternatives and for the price chose the XDP pipes. Didn't have time, so took to a local shop and they quoted 5-7 hours. They replaced in 5 hours because they come with a new head. These pipes are stainless and look way better than the old leaky pipes. The shop said no issues with fitment and said XDP always has good stuff. Towed 10klbs right after and saw ~15% more power, better throttle response and +2mpg. A no brainer.
