Really like the looks of the welds. Looks good underneath the hood. Bolts right up. Easy to install. The only complaint is the bottom nippel is a little to high, could be little lower to where it don’t pull your hose up higher, but dose not effect anything. Other than that, no complaints. Thanks.

Great Solution to the Factory Degas Tank

This is a great solution to the factory plastic degas tanks on the 6.0L. I've had to replace three of these since owning the truck as they have either cracked or developed pin holes. My only feedback would be for XDP to add the tabs that hold the tank to the mounting bracket when the bolts are removed. Those brackets made installation & removal so much easier.

Very easy install and great craftsmanship. There has always been a problem with the OEM plastic degas bottle. Per Ford service bulletins, they suggested a new cap and to only fill to the low mark to prevent coolant pressure pushing coolant out of the cap during hard pulling. Now with the upgraded aluminum tank, I fill to half way in the sight glass and have not had any more problems. I always pull heavy trailers up and down 7% grades. So far, no coolant pushing back through cap. OEM cap is rated at 10psi. New cap on aluminum tank is rated at 16psi.

The quality of this tank is nice. Very well built. I did suffer from a crack I. The reservoir sight glass after about 6 months. I contacted XDP customer service and a replacement was sent out that night. Very pleased all around.
