Description
Enhance the charging system in your 2011-2019 GM 6.6L Duramax with the XDP HD High Output Alternator (New) Wrinkle Black XD350. While many Duramax owners upgrade their truck for performance, the charging system is often overlooked until there is an issue. Aftermarket accessories such as off-road lights, aftermarket horn kits, on-board air compressors, snowplows, stereo equipment and other electronics will overload your factory charging system and demand more than what the factory alternator can provide.
The XDP HD Series High Output Alternator increases the output of your factory charging system giving you the ability to reliably run your high-draw electronics while alleviating the strain on your charging system. The XD350 features an OE style decoupler pulley that helps synchronize the serpentine belt to improve efficiency, while also reducing the noise/vibration/harshness (NVH) and increasing accessory drive component life. Each XDP HD Alternator comes with an ultra-durable wrinkle black coating and includes the results of pre-testing for an easy bolt-on installation.

This alternator includes a ground lug that is optional to use but will require the end user to make a ground wire and run it from the lug to the battery. If you do not wish to utilize the additional ground lug, simply install the alternator exactly like the factory unit.

Perfect fit, definitely follow instructions to upgrade to 2 AWG wiring, no more issues with audio system cutting out due to power draw! Excellent customer service as well!!

The old alternator couldn't keep up with the V plow and putting a second alternator on would've cost too much since the harness would have to be spliced or a new one installed to accommodate two alternators. This one mounted up perfectly and all i needed to replace was the charging cable since the old one is a 4 gauge and this alternator required a 2 gauge. A ground wire was also needed but that was simple to attach and then attach to the block.
