The PureFlow AirDog II-4G A6SABF493 DF-165-4G Air/Fuel Separation System for your 2003-2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke is the next generation in the fuel delivery system, resulting in a long lasting, efficient and quiet lift pump. The compact AirDog II-4G provides the most effective technology designed specifically for diesel pickups to remove water, particulates, vapor and entrained air from diesel fuel, all while increasing power and performance.
The design of the patented AirDog II-4G features many innovative improvements for increased pump performance, less noise and less maintenance. The AirDog II-4G utilizes an intermediate pump shaft that moves the electric motor away from the fuel. This eliminates any potential for wet motors due to a damaged or leaking seal. The motors self-aligning capability requires less maintenance and increases the systems endurance, resulting in a longer pump life. The low amperage motor also provides longer drivability and contributes to a significant reduction in noise.

While this might be a great looking lift pump, I cannot say the same about its performance as my truck is still in pieces. AirDog sent me a kit with the incorrect size fuel return tee, unfortunately I discovered this during a weekend install and had to wait until Monday to call for a new one. I just received their replacement today, wrong size AGAIN! Of course they’re closed by the time it arrived and I now have to wait another couple days. FASS never made these mistakes, starting to regret my choice for this truck.

The AIRDOG II-4G A6SABF493 DF-165-4G AIR/FUEL SEPARATION SYSTEM is a complete fuel pump, fuel/air separation system for a 2003-2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke. It will include all components needed to complete the installation including: Fuel pump system, fuel lines, wiring harness, mounting brackets, etc.
Does this require the purchase of a regulated return system to be installed? If not is it recommended to buy one?

A regulated return setup is not required when installing an AIRDOG II-4G A6SABF493 DF-165-4G AIR/FUEL SEPARATION SYSTEM but it is highly recommended .
