Fleece Cheetah Turbo 351-0407

Turbo sounds real good, but unfortunately, I didn’t read. My truck is a six-speed manual and it does have a little bit of turbo lag. I’m not putting the turbo down, just giving you a heads up if you have a six-speed or a five-speed truck you may have a little bit of lag.

Still a 5-star, but it's not plug and play for the 2006 Ram. The OEM oil feed line will not work, I noticed, so thank goodness I got the fleece oil feed line. Also, try and get the old wastegate solenoid off the old turbo that looks like it's off the sunken Titanic. I had to buy a new solenoid that cost 450 bucks at O'Reilly. I seen some as high as 1403.47 bucks, yeah on this XDP site, wow, and I was not buying the cheap ones off of eBay for 20 bucks lol. oh, and the instructions who need them if the description states it's a simple plug-and-play deal? I went to the fleece site for the instructions. So they should up the price to include the fleece oil feed hose and inform customers they will most likely need to buy a wastegate solenoid, or they could use their old rusted up one lol. It also needs a tune, or it will not operate correctly. None of this is in the description, and if it is, it should be in your face kind of information. Still a great product, and I am happy I was able to get one. Maybe someone needs to inform me of what their perspective is on 100% drop in? I could be wrong, ha I'd say fix the description so as to save yourselves all the questions, and the headaches, not all customers are as forgiving as I am, trust me, as I own a business.

Installation was straight forward and uncomplicated. Followed the install instructions supplied with the turbo, they are well written and very clear. I installed this turbo onto an ‘06 Cummins along with a DPS manifold. Since installation, I have seen cooler EGTs, and it spools quickly and has great top end power. I have noticed at 75mph what took my factory turbo 12-14 pounds of boost this turbo sits about 6-8 pounds. Whether that’s truly just the turbo or a mixture of the turbo and the manifold, I’m not sure. I’ve also noticed less soot from the tailpipe under hard acceleration which is great. Idle and low end turbo whine definitely lets you know it’s not stock, but is not obnoxious. Have not gotten a chance to tow with it yet but I expect that it will not disappoint. Overall I’m happy with this purchase and would recommend this for anyone looking to add some power and get better performance out of their truck.

I picked up this fleece cheetah turbo to replace the original Holset HE351CW turbo on my 07 Ram that has 221k miles on it. I wanted to do some preventative maintenance and replace it before it blew up. The cheetah installed with ease and it sounds wicked, even at idle. My truck is an automatic and it spools just as fast as the stock unit and definitely makes a bit more power at full boost. I can say I've seen at least a 100 degree drop in my EGT's as well. I have a banks cold air intake, monster ram intake horn and a full cat-back exhaust. So, results may vary for comepletely stock trucks. I'm very happy so far and hope it goes at least half the distance the stock turbo went. With that said, it is absolutely crucial you pre-lube a new turbo prior to starting your truck. I wouldn't be suprised if a lot of new turbo failures are due to lack of lubrication on initial startup. I highly, highly recommend getting a tube of liqui-moly turbo additive and running it through the turbo oil line inlet before starting your truck for the first time after a new turbo install. Also, if you don't replace your stock oil line you should remove it and thoroughly clean it so foreign debris doesn't get shot into your brand new turbo. Highly recommend this fleece cheetah over other aftermarket "drop-in" replacement turbos.

I replaced a stealth 64 with this cheetah and the difference is just amazing. So easy to install and overall the cheetah is 100 times better. This turbo is well worth it. Puts out a great whistle and I’m running lower EGTs with more boost!

i bought this 6 months ago and it was great for a while but the other day it went out while driving from nebraska.
