This past weekend marked the 3rd Annual XDP Jersey Devil Diesel Nationals at Atco Raceway, in Atco NJ. The morning started off slowly due to lingering rain in the area but towards the middle of the day the sun came out and the heat was on. The crowd was increasing in size and our local fans that came to race were ready to hit the track!
Once started, it was a full day of drag racing with many trucks in attendance. From stock to highly modified, everyone had a great day while trying to put down their best time and beat the truck in the opposing lane. On the other side of the grand stands, the attention was on the dyno where trucks were strapped down and run to see what kind of horsepower and torque numbers they could lay down.
The XDP Drag Truck was on-site, not only to be displayed for its first NJ appearance but also for some testing as well. The crew took to the track and made several 10-second passes in an attempt to dip into the 9’s. With some fresh upgrades the truck ran well but ultimately the Crew was still chasing down a few minor things. They feel they’ll have them figured out and will get the truck dialed in to get down the track faster at the next event.
Our friends at Atco Raceway left a few cars out on the grass for the XDP Diesel Monster Truck to feast on. So, in between rounds of drag racing the XDP Monster Truck had its time to shine by destroying some fresh cars for the many in attendance. With only a small space to roam our very own Dave Radzierez put the pedal down to hit those cars and get some air underneath the Monster Truck.
All in all, it was a great day and a fun time for the XDP crew and the enthusiasts in attendance! We’d like to thank all of our Fans that came out to support the event along with Atco Raceway and the XDP Race Team for putting on a great show!
