Description
The XDP HD Replacement Up-Pipe Assembly XD218 is a direct-fit replacement for the leaking up-pipes in your 2003-2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke. The up-pipes in your Super Duty take the exhaust gasses from the exhaust manifolds and bring them up to spool the turbocharger. Due to the location and the type of bellows used on the stock up-pipes, they are often prone to failure. A failed bellow is a common cause of exhaust leaks. These power-robbing exhaust leaks reduce the effectiveness of the turbo, which results in a loss of engine performance, efficiency, and vehicle drivability.
This 6.0 Up-Pipe Assembly is a bolt-on, OER+ design and installs using the factory gasket, fasteners, and clamps (not included). Each unit is built from stainless steel with heavy-duty bellows to provide durability and long service life in your F-250/350/450.

With the pipe attached to the manifolds with the nut 2 turns on the bolts and other pipe tight, the flange was 3/4" offset to the firewall. I had to ratchet strap the pipe and tighten the clamp to get it centered. Once the clamp was pretty close I removed it and gave the ratchet strap all I had and "POP" its finally in. Was it the pipe, my truck, my luck, or just how they all go? I hope I never get to do another. It was pretty cheap from xdp though.

The tile says "Up-Pipe Assembly" which is often reffered to as a "Y Pipe" as well as a "Turbo Inlet Pipe". The XD218 is the replacement of the Ford OEM 5C3Z-6K854-BA. You will reuse your factory passenger side up-pipe.
