XDP was happy to make another trip across the border into Canada this past weekend to visit with our good friends at BD Diesel and to further support our sponsorship in the NHRDA at Mission Raceway in beautiful British Columbia Canada.

Great weather all weekend allowed for 3 days of product training, dyno testing, racing, and socializing with friends new and old.

Things began Friday when I headed over early to BD’s Canadian headquarters for a day of comprehensive product training covering each category of BD product.

Each session began in their boardroom with a video overview of the product category led by the person most knowledgeable in that particular area, then we would head down into the product manufacturing area for a hands on look at how BD actually produces the product and the technology involved.

BD is increasingly pairing new 21st Century manufacturing methods with their 40+ years of experience and it shows as they incorporate modern lean manufacturing practices along with accelerated product development cycles.  They are helping lead the industry in these areas and it’s a great thing for diesel truck owners.  For our customers interested in finding out more about BD products our XDP Performance Specialists are ready to answer your questions.  XDP also stocks a tremendous inventory of BD product in both our NJ and NV warehouses, from their smallest parts all the way up to complete transmissions.

On Saturday XDP setup at BD’s 18th annual Spring Dyno Tune Day.  Perfect weather, the Lions club BBQ, and 65 trucks hitting the rollers led to the largest crowd in the events history.  The day’s top three below included the highest HP and TQ ever recorded on BD’s dyno set by Dimitri Mallard.

1st        Dimitri Mallard           Duramax         1,246.7 HP / 2,910 TQ

2nd        Nollan                         Duramax         1,052.0 HP / 2,456 TQ

3rd        Torrey Werenka          Dodge 5.9       988.6 HP / 2,308 TQ

On Sunday, the NHRDA’s 4th race of the season went down at Mission Raceway and it brought out many of western Canada’s fastest diesel powered trucks as well as a few notables from the USA…such as the MBRP sponsored DirtyMax, Jarid Vollmer in the Bully Dog Pro Street truck, and the prior days dyno winner Dimitri Mallard from Custom Auto.  BD also brought out 3 trucks as they continue to use racing as yet another test bed for future product development and enhancement.  The day’s notables are below.

XDP was well represented in Canada this weekend and thanks to all our friends and business contacts that traveled to the weekend’s events to visit and hang out with us.  Finally and most importantly, big thanks to BD Diesel and its staff who always make us feel welcome and who put on a tremendously educational and entertaining weekend.  We look forward to returning for many years to come.
