This past weekend XDP headed to Tulsa Raceway Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma for the 2nd annual Tulsa Diesel Nationals. This was a 1-day event offering drag racing, sled pulls, dyno runs, show & shine, and a burnout contest. Tulsa had seen heavy rains that past few days making the parking lot and sled pull track a muddy mess. Thankfully the track crew was able to work on it all day and get the track ready for that evening’s sled pull event. It was a beautiful spring day with temps in the mid-70s, little to no wind, and nothing but sunshine. Perfect conditions for racing action.
The big news of the day for XDP came from Anthony Reams and the XDP truck. In his first true run with the new common rail setup, he posted a 9.14et at 153 mph! This would have been a new Super Street world record if he had been able to back it up within 1% on his next run. Unfortunately on his next run he ran a 9.34et and was not able to secure the record. The truck still has some fine-tuning before it is dialed in just right. Hopefully, when it’s fully dialed we’ll see it dip into the 8’s!
Join XDP next in Denver, Colorado for the NHRDA Diesels on the Mountain. This is a 2-day event taking place June 3rd and 4th. Sled Pulls will take place June 3rd at the Jefferson Country Fairground in Denver. The rest of the event will take place June 4th at the world-famous Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, CO.
